The William Rayen College of Engineering and Technology is committed to furthering the mission of Youngstown State University by providing quality programs in engineering and engineering technology which encompass the mathematical and physical humanities. Application of these fundamentals prepares students for careers in both engineering and engineering related fields, educates students for living more abundantly, advances technology and supports, as well as challenges, industry and government, both locally and nationally, through research and public service integrated with teaching.
The Rayen College of Engineering and Technology offers the Bachelor of Engineering degree in chemical, civil, electrical, industrial and systems, and mechanical engineering; the Associate in Applied Science degree in civil and construction, electrical, and mechanical engineering technology, telecommunications engineering technology, and drafting and design technology. The Bachelor of Science in Applied Science degree is offered in civil and construction, electrical and mechanical engineering technology. An Associate in Technical Studies degree is offered in construction management technology. The same degree is also offered in electric utility technology in conjunction with FirstEngergy Corporation with options in electrical systems, instrumentation control systems, lineworker, mechanical systems, and power plant technology.
