Scholarships


Francis P. Conroy Scholarship in Civil Engineering ($1,000): Awarded to a student majoring in civil engineering, residing in the five county ares of Columbiana, Lawrence, Mercer, Mahoning or Trumbull counties, with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Financial need must be demonstrated.

Robert E. Heltzel, Sr. Memorial Scholarship ($500): Awarded to an undergraduate engineering major who has completed the first year of the engineering program, achieved an academic minimum of 2.5 GPA and demonstrates financial need. Recipient must be a resident of the five county areas of Mahoning, Trumbull, and Columbiana counties in Ohio or Mercer and Lawrence counties in Pennsylvania.

Samantha Grace Pancoe Memorial Scholarship ($550): Awarded to a student who is an engineering major with a desire toward development of product desing and product safety. A minimum of 2.5 GPA is required. A female student will be given first preference.

Paul J. Powers Scholarship in Engineering ($750): Scholarship established to honor the president and chiarman of the board of Commercial Intertech. Available to an eligible junior or senior majoring in Engineering who has a 3.0 or better GPA. Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Gerhardt M. Stein Electrical Engineering Scholarship ($250): Established in memory of Dr. Stein, former professor of electrical engineering at YSU. Awarded annually to an electrical engineering student.

Ferdinand S. Jagatich Scholarship ($500): Established in 1998 in honor of Ferdinanc S. Jagatich by the Jagatich family. Recipient must be an engineering major demonstrating financial need. The student must maintain a 2.5 GPA or better.
