Co_op Program
| The Department of Electrical Engineering schedules classes to accomodate everything from a highly structural co-op program (series co-op) to informal work study arrangements (parallel co-op). The highly structural co-op (series) allows students to alternate between two quarters of working in industry and two quarters of studies at YSU. Another structured approach (series) allows juniors to work mornings and take courses in the afternoon while seniors take classes in the morning and work in the afternoon. A junior and senior would then each hold down one-half of a full time job. A less structured approach would be to have students work part time with whatever arrangement is acceptable to their employer. Students participating in the structured co-op programs can expect to graduate in five years depending on course load. |
